Uber Driver (Drive & Deliver) is the partner half of Uber's rideshare and delivery marketplace: drivers and couriers in the US, Brazil, India, Mexico and dozens of other markets use it to go online, receive upfront trip offers, chase demand and get paid. Every shift, offer, trip and payout in one of the world's largest gig-work marketplaces flows through this app.

As a data source it exposes the partner's working day as structured records: dispatch state (online, available, dispatchable), the assigned-vehicle roster (make, model, licensePlate), demand heatmap cells (hexAddress, value), wallet credit (creditBalance), Instant Pay amounts (availableAmount, amountE5) and per-trip earnings (driverFare, tipAmt, cashCollected). Fleet operators, gig-payroll providers and mobility analysts use that data for payout reconciliation, fare verification and demand forecasting.

How does Uber Driver authenticate partner calls?

A session token call returns an OAuth-style token bundle: accessToken, refreshToken, idToken, expiresIn and sessionID. Every later driver, wallet and earnings request sends that access token as a Bearer credential.

Where are trip fares, tips and cash collected?

The per-trip earnings record returns driverFare, formattedDriverFare, tipAmt, cashCollected, distance, duration, pickupAddress and a line-item breakdown. The earnings tab pages those trips as cards from its activity feed.

Does the app expose Instant Pay / cashout?

Yes. A cashout quote call returns availableAmount (in amountE5 units), eligible cashoutMethods and cashoutEligibility; a separate disbursement call posts the amount and method and returns disbursementUUID plus the fee breakdown.

What blocks a driver from going online?

An eligibility check returns document and compliance issues with title and body content, plus future blockers and nudges — expired licenses and similar checks that freeze dispatch until the partner clears them.
